Meet Poegrl, our September Fan Of The Month

Poegrl has been one of this websites strongest supporters, and we love her! Some of you you know her already from our Fan Forum, others will be meeting her for the time time right now. Either way, she's one of our favorites, and for being our Fan Of The Month, shes getting a free cd! If that makes you jealous then send an email to Anarchy@anarchymusic.net and maybe you can be our next Fan Of The Month. But without further ado...we give you...Poegrl!

If so, what’s going to turn your head?
First glance, tall, dark hair, light eyes, killer smile and great laugh. I like funny and out going, but smart enough to keep up with me in conversation, not too much to ask for right?
Go ahead; tell us about yourself...hobbies, interests, that sort of thing:
I’m an artist, I write, draw/paint, making jewelry, crazy I know but it’s kind of cool. I love music and always on the look out for new stuff, that’s why I love Anarchy Music. Seriously Dave you’re awesome for starting this up man, thank you!
I’m a movie fanatic and a bit of a gamer Geek against my will! Yeah that’s right I lost the “will-save” and now my brain is filled with useless knowledge. Do you know what a Venture is or how many rounds it would take out some one with advanced Fortitude? No? Well lucky you, be thankful!
Do you have a Myspace or blog you want to plug?
DO !?!?!?! hahahahaha Foolish mortal.

What are some of your favorite bands?
Wow you got about a year; we could be here for a while? Seriously, Duran Duran, Butch Walker, The Cure, Depech Mode, Sister’s of Mercy, HIM, Goudie, Kent, anything Jay Gordon has put his hands on is good. Classic Rock is a given from AC/DC to Zeppelin kind of hard to say no to that. Just about anything 80’s, punk can be fun, Industrial. I like some R&B, I love Jazz and blues, Louis Armstrong, Nina Samone, Etta. I’m also into Folk and Trad, go here http://www.sfhounds.com you’ll see what I mean. Really depends on what it is I’m in the mood for but I can pry dig it.
How about some bands you can’t stand?
Created pop bull, Paris, Britney, JT go jump off a cliff PLEASE! But…. Pink and Christian A. can kick it I guess? There is a lot of rap out there that I can’t stand right now and plenty of little rocker wannabe’s.
Dear Hacks,
Please take a big hint and DIE!
Thank You, PoeGrl.
What’s your best concert experience so far?
All time hands down best show I’ve been to was the Hotel California Tour with Butch Walker, Jim Bianco, Carry Brothers, Imogene Hemp, and Gary Jewels. That Show kicked so much ass I can’t even explain to you. If you get a chance to catch any of these guys DO IT!
VNV Nation is also a really good show to catch if you dig EBM. They put on one hell of a show for being just two guys.
What’s the music scene like in your hometown/school/whatever? Give us the scoop on where to hang and what there is to do:
Well what do you wanna hear? I live about 20 min from San Francisco baby. Slims, Red Devil Lounge, The Great American Music Hall, Fillmore and those are just the tip of the iceberg. There are a million clubs where there are music events nightly, pubs and bars that have great local bands, you name it I can find it for you. North Bay is a spawning ground for great new bands and awesome new sounds.
Name one band that everyone needs to check out and why:
BUTCH! Seriously Butch Walker is a true renaissance man in the music world. He rwaks hard, plays with heart and soul on his sleeve for all to see, and damn it, he moves me. He’s got the Hair Rock roots raised in Southern comfort style sprinkled with a little glam and packs a punk punch. There really isn’t any reason not to love this music so check him out now and you can thank me latter. http://www.butchwalker.com
