BLUE OCTOBER¹S ³FOILED² HITS PLATINUM
Current Single ³Into The Ocean² #1 Video On VH-1¹s Top 20 Countdown

February 22, 2007

(New York, NY) Universal Motown Records recording artists, Blue October
continues its reign over the modern rock landscape, with its acclaimed album
Foiled certified platinum this week by the RIAA. Their riveting smash
single, ³Into The Ocean,² holds down the #1 video slot on VH1¹s Top 20
Countdown while simultaneously breaking at Hot AC (#14) and at CHR ( #40*)
radio formats.

Their incredible rise as rock¹s returning paladins began with the launch of
last year¹s Modern rock radio anthem ³Hate Me,² which hovered for nearly six
months in the format¹s Top 10, seventeen weeks of which were spent in the
Top 5. A run of sold-out tours including appearances at Lollapalloza, The
Voodoo Music Festival, opening for the Rolling Stones and mesmerizing TV
performances cemented their rep as a provocative new healing force in music
with Justin Furstenfield¹s evocative vocals attracting a diverse and growing
audience for the Houston based band, who have been together since 1996.

Releasing their first album, The Answers, in 1998, the group was signed to
Universal for their August 2000 major label debut, Consent to Treatment. A
string of punishing but rewarding tours and releases followed, with the
group even being dropped by Universal and re-signed after success of their
third record, History For Sale, on indie Brando Records. This was followed
by the band releasing the slow burning album Foiled in April of 2006 to
critical raves which foreshadowed ultimate mainstream acceptance. Blue
October is now being hailed as one of the breakthrough rock artists of this,
or any year.

After a string of sold out shows on the East Coast, the Midwest and Canada,
the band embarks on new dates on the West Coast and Northwest highlighted by
selling out San Francisco as well as two nights in Los Angeles.
