The Amelia Rules! title can be found prominently featured on a pylon display in the children’s section of Borders Books nation wide, sitting along side Spiderman, High School Musical, and Bone graphic novels.

Borders is offering a “Buy 4 get the 5th Free” promotion on all children’s graphic novels and manga titles this month.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be part of this promotion,” says cartoonist Jimmy Gownley. “It’s great to have Amelia along side such major franchises, and receiving such special treatment from Borders.”

“This is a really important promotion,” adds Amelia Rules! marketing director Karen Applegate. “If people are in the market for graphic novels and buy them at Borders during this event, it really helps to strengthen the position of children’s graphic novels as an important and valuable form of children’s literature. This, in turn, will help the comics industry as a whole.”

In addition to the Borders promotion, Amelia Rules! is moving into Barnes & Noble and Canada’s Indigo chain of stores later this year.

“It’s an exciting time for children’s comics and it’s definitely an exciting time to be the guy who creates Amelia Rules!” adds Gownley.
