Anarchy Music teamed up with So They Say to give four lucky readers a rare treat. Meet and greets with bands are usually very quick, with just a hello and an autograph. We wanted to give our readers a little more than that, and the band was more than willing to help out. We picked 4 winners, who received free tickets to see the band, along with Atreyu, Haste The Day and It Dies Today. In addition, we were allowed in to see the bands sound check, and they even gave our winners free cds that they signed afterwards. You can't beat that! This site is all about supporting bands that go the extra mile for their fans, so we want to thank So They Say for hanging out with our readers, and we definitely want everyone to check out the bands new album Life in Surveillance, which has just been released. A couple of our winners, Marina and Kyle, wrote in with their takes on the event, so I thought it would be cool to let you read their reviews...

Lets start with Marina:

Getting the chance to attend a private meet and greet with So They Say was a different experience for me. I have met plenty of bands and had been to one other meet and greet before. With this one, it gave me the chance to experience a different point of view of a band.

So They Say allowed me and three other winners to sit in on their sound check, which is something that I have never done before. When the sound check was over, the guys, minus bassist Joseph Hamilton (who was unable to make the show), came over to us and introduced themselves. We all talked for about 10 minutes, just hanging out with them. The guys that were there were vocalist/guitarist David Schroeder, drummer Justin Hanson and guitarist Nicholas Walters.

Then we also got to hang out with them and talk for a little bit before sitting with them as they did their interview with Anarchy Music. It was awesome to me to be able to personally hear what they had to say. We even had the opportunity to ask them any questions if we wanted to. One thing that I remember from the interview was when Justin said "we don't want to be Snickers, we want to be chocolate."

The guys were really nice to all of us . They even posed for pictures with us when the interview was over. It's definitely an experience I'd want to have again. Big thanks to Anarchy Music and So They Say for giving me this experience.

And here's a review of the show from Keith:

Well overall, the show was amazing. Meeting So They Say was a pretty awesome experience. It was my first time ever doing a meet and greet so it was definitely awesome. The band was very laid back and pretty funny I'd have to say. I took pictures with the band and got our cds signed by all of the members. After that, I waited impatiently for the show to start. When the show finally start I was extremely stoked about So They Say playing first. They did an amazing job taking they had one member missing. The next band to play was It Dies Today. They also did an amazing job. The next band to take the stage was Haste the Day. I have never seen that band live before and they did an unbelievable job. I've waited a long time to see them in concert. They also put on an amazing show. The Last band to perform was Atreyu. I've seen them before and like all the other times, they were also amazing. After they played, I had to fight someone for the drummer's drum stick. I won of course. The show went really well and I enjoyed myself.

Once again, thanks so much to the members of So They Say for this opportunity. This is a band that cares about their fans and is actively allowing them to be a part of their careers, so that means they are definitely worth supporting! We'll have the interview that we did with the band on the site next week. In the meantime, visit So They Say on Myspace to hear some new songs from the album and find out more about the band!
